ADJ Lighting is pleased to introduce its new WMX1 standalone DMX control solution to the US market. Developed by throwing out the rulebook of how a lighting control interface should work, this revolutionary new device draws inspiration from music performance technology to deliver a uniquely tactile solution that will appeal to lighting designers who want to have the freedom to perform organically with lights.
The latest addition to ADJ’s new range of wash lights featuring powerful RGB+Lime color mixing LEDs, the Encore LP32IP, is a multi-functional IP65-rated panel fixture. Designed for rental, touring and event production, this rugged LED wash light offers smooth color mixing with a vast palette of options and a high CRI. Suitable for use both indoors and outdoors in any weather, thanks to its IP65-rated casing design, this versatile luminaire can be used as a color wash, blinder, strobe or eye candy effect.
ADJ’s new flagship IP65-rated moving head, the Hydro Profile, is now shipping. It combines a high-power 660W LED light engine that delivers 25,000+ Lumens of output with a precision-engineered optical system and expansive collection of beam-shaping tools including: a 4-blade framing system, dynamic animation wheel, and an impressive zoom range. It offers a huge amount of creative potential from a fixture that is truly designed for the demands of a grueling life on the road.
A variety of ADJ moving head, static wash, LED video panel, and atmospheric effect fixtures have been installed at 230 FIFTH, the chic bar, nightclub, and event space located on iconic 5th Avenue in New York City. Supplied, maintained, and operated by Manhattan-based audio-visual specialists Canal Sound and Light, the versatile lighting rig adapts seamlessly to the wide variety of events hosted by the venue. These range from weekend club nights to midweek comedy shows, and performances by live acts to private parties hosted by corporate clients.
A variety of ADJ fixtures were used recently to provide production lighting and atmospheric effects for an ambitious film project undertaken by charity fundraising and cosplay group the Alberta Ghostbusters. To promote their society and its fundraising endeavors, members of the group filmed a cinematic promotional video at the iconic Calgary Stampede using ADJ’s Jolt 300 LED wash fixtures and an Entour Chill low fog machine, alongside other ADJ lighting. The wash lights illuminated both performers and vehicles in a variety of bold colors while the fog machine was used to create ghostly effects.
Opened earlier this year, Mainro – the latest addition to Hollywood’s nightlife scene – offers a unique fusion of restaurant and supper club. Each evening the elegant venue shifts its focus from fine dining to high octane partying, using AVL technology to make the transition completely seamless. Lighting plays a significant part in this, with 20 of ADJ’s extremely popular Vizi Beam RXONE compact moving head beam luminaires used to fill the high-ceilinged venue with energetic aerial effects to complete the transition from sophisticated restaurant to full-on nightclub.
Last week the ADJ team showcased the company’s latest professional lighting fixtures and LED video panels to the pro-AV industry at the 2022 InfoComm trade show in Las Vegas. New fixtures – including the latest additions to the IP65-rated Hydro Series and wash fixtures equipped with lime LED chips for enhanced color mixing and high CRI – were very well received by a steady stream of AVL professionals who visited the ADJ booth throughout the three-day exhibition.
A lighting system comprised exclusively of ADJ’s IP-rated outdoor ready fixtures was used to illuminate the performers on the Arena Plaza Stage at the recent NAMM music industry trade show in Anaheim, CA. ADJ has provided lighting for the stage at a number of past NAMM shows but took a step further this year by becoming the stage’s naming sponsor and also supplying a complete audio system courtesy of sister company Avante Audio.
A significant quantity of ADJ fixtures were supplied by production company Spectrum AV for two of the stages at the Rebirth Festival, a huge three-day hard dance event which took place in The Netherlands last month. Six of the festival’s seven dance arenas were unclosed by large circus-style tents, while the final performance stage was outdoors and open to the elements. For this, ADJ’s IP65-rated Hydro Series moving heads and static LED-powered wash fixtures were utilized, ensuring that the lighting rig would be unaffected by any adverse weather, including the storm that hit the festival site during buildup!
